About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy features that deliver value to users while adhering to best coding practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend features using Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework.
• Build responsive and dynamic front-end components using ERB templates, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Design, manage, and optimize relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and migrations.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs to support seamless communication between systems.
• Create and manage background jobs using Resque, Sidekiq, or similar tools for asynchronous task processing.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the stack.
• Collaborate with the development team using Git and Agile methodologies.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Ruby on Rails trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ERB templating.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, MVC architecture, and relational databases.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, including writing queries and managing migrations.
• Familiarity with background job processing tools (Resque/Sidekiq) is a plus.
• Experience working with Git and version control workflows.
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with a proactive attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with modern front-end technologies or frameworks (optional).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Understanding of testing frameworks like RSpec or Minitest.
