About this role
As a Software (DevOps) Engineer, you will work with the Senior architects and Senior DevOps Engineers to ensure that our global applications/platforms are always available to meet the needs of our internal customers. This position requires an engineering discipline combined with systems engineering and software skills.Key Responsibilities:
6 to 10 years experience in installation, configuration, testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of tools used by development teams
Configure and manage applications to ensure high availability.
Maintain and administer data stores ensuring proper backup, replication, and failover strategies.
Write and maintain scripts in Shell, Perl, Python or other appropriate languages to automate infrastructure, deployment tasks or other automation that can be leveraged by the Engineering Business Segments.
Develop and maintain IAC scripts to provision and configure virtual machines and applications.
Collaborate with developers, QA, and other stakeholders to improve development processes and streamline workflows.
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, working with other teams to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
Manage the patching process for our infrastructure, ensuring timely application of security updates and patches.
Stay up to date with security advisories and vulnerability management, proactively identifying potential security threats and taking action to mitigate risks.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
