About this role
Job Id: 23689380Job Purpose: The role will be that of a Senior/Lead Data Engineer who will form a critical part of the team implementing Feature based surveillance scenarios.
Job Background/context:
- Candidate should have around 8-12 years development & systems design experience. Preferably 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
- More than 5 years of experience in Python with Spark, Hive /Sql required.
- Proven proactive problems identification & rapid trouble-shooting skills.
- BigData, Python, Spark and Trade Surveillance domain experience will be preferred
The right candidate will be expected to be a significant player in the project evolution & deployment shouldering the following responsibilities:
Work as a collaborative member of a team spread over multiple locations (India, UK, US) Learn PySpark and other Big Data technologies quickly learn and master the programming paradigm. Understand internally published architectural guidelines to design solutions and represent them in architectural reviews. Define & communicate development standards that follow established architectural designs and perform code reviews to ensure quality standards of systems & team. Lead by example in developing exceptional quality code by doing design & code reviews. Design & develop platform functionality that is scalable & configurable as a global platform.

Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge in BigData, Spark and knows any one programming language Preferably python
- Strong experience in PySpark, Bigdata, Hive/SQL, PL/SQL
- Good Experience in Unix Shell Scripting

- A team with a win-together/lose-together attitude and strong sense of identity and positive culture
- Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)
- Candidate should be willing to work late in the evening India time on need basis in order to interact with US/UK onshore team and to meet urgent requests by Clients.
- Exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information
- Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts;
- Organizational and project management skills required.
- Strong influencing & interpersonal skills.
