Lab45 - Senior Robotics Engineer

About this role

• Responsible for the Design and Implementation of Core Platform Components.
• Design / Optimize Multi-robot collaboration algorithms ,communication protocols and showcase their performance in Simulation & real world.
• Transitioning applications to deployment with production quality C++ code
• Designing, developing, documenting, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining software applications and integrated systems
• Surveying literature and implementing state-of-the-art techniques to take on challenging multi-robot planning, coordination & collaboration problems.
• Following best practices for team software development (peer reviews of designs and code, unit , Integration and system testing, version control, bug tracking, integrated documentation)
• Participate in Scrum Meetings, Conduct Planning Sessions & Code Reviews.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or Robotics
• Should have relevant experience delivering projects that use (many of the following): Robotic arms, AGV/ AMRs, Mobile manipulators, custom robots, simulation tools (Gazebo/Ignition)
• Experience in designing and developing algorithms in multi-robot Task scheduling, Traffic planning or other multi-robot collaboration scenarios.
• Proven Experience in building Robot Orchestration Systems using Behavior Trees or Hierarchical state machines.
• High level understanding of Microservices, REST API Development and Databases is also highly desirable.
• Robotics Middleware experience (ROS): ROS 1 is must, ROS 2 will be added advantage
• Programming language expertise required - C++ and Python both are a must
• Deployments - Docker, Container Orchestration (Kubernetes / Docker Compose)
• Experience in Agile mode of development
• Experience in Fleet Management solutions for Autonomous vehicles is a plus.
• Previous Exposure to Robot Middleware Framework (RMF) & Rust is a plus.
