About this role
Job DescriptionIntel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Cloud and Enterprise Acceleration Division (CEAD) are seeking an engineering manager to grow our software development team with additional engineers in India. CEAD are responsible for enabling hardware acceleration in data center environments using PSG's silicon technologies, primarily FPGAs. This worldwide team develop acceleration technologies in collaboration with hyperscale cloud service providers, covering diverse workloads including networking, storage, databases, security/cryptography, and many more. CEAD are planning to expand our software development capabilities by adding additional engineers in India, and are seeking to recruit an engineering manager to lead this effort. This is anticipated to involve hiring a team of permanent staff, but may also involve working with contract suppliers and other internal teams, depending on the changing needs of the business. As well as building this new team and overseeing their work, the successful candidate will be expected to personally participate in hands-on software development, to interact directly with customers, partners and internal stakeholders, and help to guide our software architecture.
Qualifications
Masters degree or equivalent in computer science or electronic engineering Experienced engineering manager with a track record of delivery Customer facing experience Experience working in large, worldwide teams Experience managing subcontractors Hands on experience in production software development, testing and support Experience interacting with acceleration devices, or similar low-level software experience (such as device drivers or embedded systems), is strongly desired. Experience in networking, storage and databases is also advantageous.
