Ratan Tata is an example of a leader whose inward values and outward actions demonstrate a higher level of responsible leadership. The Indian industrialist, philanthropist, and former chairman of Tata Sons Ratan Tata believe in the power of a CEO's thinking and attitude both make or break them.

In a chat with a popular Facebook page called ‘Humans of Bombay', Ratan Tata sir spoke of his childhood, his love life, his relationships, and where he wanted to get married.

One Story on his beliefs on his decision

Many doubted the decision of Ratan Tata, even when he would not sell the company to Ford. When Ratan Tata acquired Tetley Tea for $450 million, however, he believed in this decision and ignored other people's doubts, and made Tata Tea the second-largest tea company in the world. It doesn’t conclude that he always made the right decision but when you believe in your decision, work hard for your decision and make it right.

One Story on his love life

However, he decided to return to India because his grandmother was not healthy, and thought the woman he loved would also go to India with him.

“But because of the 1962 Indo-China war, her parents weren't okay with her making the move anymore, and the relationship fell apart.”, Mr. Ratan Tata sir said.

One Story on his integrity and promise

Tata Son's chairman emeritus also mentioned his idea, the Tata Nano car, and why he decided to invest resources into the construction of an affordable vehicle. He explained that he saw a family of four traveling on motorbikes under heavy rain, which made him want to do more for those families who were risking their lives because there was no alternative. "By the time we launched the Nano, our costs were higher, but I had made a promise, and we delivered on that promise,", Mr. Ratan Tata said. "Looking back, I'm still proud of the car and the decision to go ahead with it."
