In reality, On average talent acquisition, folks receive thousands of resumes in a day. Can you imagine doing the same work every day?
Yes, you might have heard it before.. The recruiter only spends 6 seconds scanning your resume. In giant organizations, your resume goes through software called ATS before humans, which decides whether you are a great fit for the job or not.
So, here are some common pitfalls while making your resume that we can all try to avoid and save ourselves a ton of time, effort, and frustration!
1) Make ATS friendly resume
Are you applying for hundreds of jobs and getting no response?
It is probably because of ATS(Applicant Tracking System), a software that scans your resume before sending it to the recruiter. Approximately 75% of resumes go to the bin after going through this software. Hence, making your resume ATS-friendly is crucial.

4) Talk about numbers in your resume
Quantify your accomplishments, this strengthens the value and efforts that you can add to any organization. For example, you can talk about the Number of Clients Acquired, Increased Revenue, Website traffic, Saved time by streamlining the process, Turn Around Time in customer service, etc.
5) Reformat if you need a unique resume for different jobs
Most job seekers create one resume and apply for all the jobs. But, In reality, the recruiter compares your resume with the job description before sending it to the hiring manager. Thus, tailoring your resume as per the job description is crucial.
